Successful funding application writing
The CERV Green Evolution Lab project is a relevant example of EU funding application preparation carried out in direct collaboration with the beneficiary under the European programme Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV). The work included identifying the most suitable funding opportunity and preparing the full application through a structured process focused on achieving concrete results.
Through this collaboration, the beneficiary aimed to develop a European project that supports entrepreneurs, SMEs and citizens in better understanding EU sustainability policies and the green transition. The process of EU funding application preparation was carried out in close coordination with the organisation’s team, ensuring that the proposal reflected both the objectives of the CERV programme and the real needs of the target groups involved.
The first stage of the project involved identifying a relevant funding opportunity within the CERV programme, which focuses on strengthening citizens’ engagement in the democratic and civic life of the European Union. The call for proposals aimed to promote the participation of citizens and representative organisations in democratic processes by encouraging public dialogue and the exchange of views on EU policies.
In this context, funded projects are expected to be developed through transnational partnerships and to directly involve citizens in activities connected to European Union policies. The selected initiatives bring together people from diverse backgrounds, encouraging active participation in European decision-making processes and improving the public understanding of how EU policies are developed.
The process of EU funding application preparation included defining the project concept, structuring the activities, outlining the expected impact and preparing the full documentation required for submitting the proposal under the CERV call.
The Green Evolution Lab project was designed to help entrepreneurs, SMEs and citizens better understand EU sustainability policies and the green transition. The initiative aims to create a space for dialogue and learning where economic actors and civil society can explore how these policies affect businesses and everyday life.
The project activities include capacity-building events, cross-border exchanges and digital engagement initiatives. Through these activities, the project will encourage discussions on the impact of sustainability policies on companies and communities while providing practical tools for business owners, employees and consumers who want to take an active role in the green transition.
At the same time, the project contributes to a fair and inclusive green transition in which businesses and citizens are actively involved in shaping and implementing European policies.
The proposal prepared through this project of EU funding application preparation was successfully selected for funding, ranking among the 111 projects approved out of a total of 890 proposals submitted. The project was later contracted, confirming the quality of both the concept and the application.
The success of the CERV Green Evolution Lab project proposal for funding highlights the importance of a well-structured process for identifying funding opportunities and preparing European project applications in close collaboration with the client.

“Thank you, and same. Part of what I loved most about working with you was how your experience as an entrepreneur was evident. You have a powerful way of speaking succintly, and being very on point for what the team needs to think about (that we might not have been thinking about). :) I deeply respect your opinions and I really hope we can collaborate again.”
"Just to let you know we had a digital meeting with the Norwegian Culture Council today in order to learn more about the situation [Ed: concerning the grant application]. You should be proud to learn that your application was one of only 13 that were successfully approved from 80 applications!”
"More good news for today! :) After a year and a half of waiting, the longest ever, but definitely worth it :) Thank you once again for all your help. Do you happen to know what the next steps are for signing the contract and getting the project started?"
"Great news! :) We won the funding. It was a brilliant team effort, and I’m so glad we could collaborate on this application. You mainly saw the interaction with me, but I had a whole team behind the scenes helping out with contributing data, drafting content the endless paperwork, scanning, and the final submission. Today we celebrate; tomorrow we get to work! :)"
"Even though we work remotely, and we’ve been working this way for a while now, we want to thank you sincerely for standing by us and providing such invaluable support. It is remarkable how quickly you mobilised and how much you helped us launch a completely new programme for us in this context [Ed. note: the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic]."
“One of the respondents to the survey called me to tell me that the questionnaire was smartly done and she wanted to discuss leadership solutions. Above expectations, as always.”
"The project's goals have been successfully attained. We were highly satisfied with the outcomes and with the efficient, constructive manner in which both the project activities and our collaboration unfolded."
"I want to thank you on behalf of the whole team for your guidance during the application process. Having your constant support and dedicated involvement made all the difference, especially as this was our very first submission. Though it was an anxious journey at times, we successfully passed every milestone, and we hope this marks the start of a long-term partnership."
